Parimatch AML & KYC Policy

This policy explains how Parimatch prevents money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes on the platform. We follow international standards and work with regulators to keep the betting environment safe and transparent. By creating an account, you agree to these rules and confirm that your funds come from legal sources.
If anything here is unclear, contact support before you register.

Why This Policy Exists

Online betting platforms can attract people looking to move dirty money or commit fraud. Parimatch takes this seriously. We have a dedicated compliance team that monitors transactions, verifies users, and reports suspicious activity to the authorities when required.
Our AML/KYC procedures are based on international guidelines including FATF recommendations and local regulations applicable in India. The goal is simple: make sure everyone on the platform is who they say they are, and that all money moving through the site is legitimate.

Know Your Customer (KYC)

KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It means we verify your identity before you can withdraw funds or access certain features. This protects both you and the platform from fraud. Documents we may request:

  • Government-issued ID. Passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving licence;
  • Proof of address. Utility bill, bank statement, or official letter dated within the last three months;
  • Proof of payment method. Photo of your card showing the last four digits, or screenshot from your e-wallet;
  • Selfie holding your ID document if requested.

When verification happens:

  • Before your first withdrawal;
  • When deposits or withdrawals reach certain thresholds;
  • If our system flags unusual activity on your account;
  • Randomly, as part of routine compliance checks.

Documents must be clear, unedited, and readable. Blurry photos, expired IDs, or cropped images will be rejected.
Verification usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Complex cases may require additional documents and more time.

Deposits and Withdrawals

All deposits must come from payment methods registered in your own name. Third-party payments are not accepted. If someone else sends money to your account, it will be returned and your account may be flagged for review.
Withdrawals go back to the same method used for deposits. You cannot deposit via UPI and withdraw to a different bank account. This rule helps us trace funds and prevent laundering.
Before your first withdrawal, you must complete KYC verification. Large withdrawals may trigger additional checks even if your account is already verified.
Funds in your account must be used for betting at least once before withdrawal. This is a standard anti-laundering measure across the industry.

Transaction Monitoring

Our compliance team monitors all transactions on the platform. Automated systems flag unusual patterns, and human analysts review anything suspicious. Red flags we watch for:

  • Large deposits followed by quick withdrawals with little or no betting activity;
  • Multiple accounts linked to the same person, device, or payment method;
  • Deposits from sources that do not match the account holder’s name;
  • Sudden changes in betting behaviour or transaction sizes;
  • Attempts to use someone else’s identity or documents;
  • Connections to countries or individuals on sanctions lists.

If we spot something suspicious, we may pause your account, request additional documents, or report the activity to authorities. You will not always be notified when an investigation is underway.

What Happens If We Find Problems

When evidence of suspicious activity appears, Parimatch reserves the right to:

  • Freeze your account and block all transactions;
  • Request additional identity documents and proof of funds;
  • Cancel pending withdrawals;
  • Confiscate funds if they are confirmed to be linked to illegal activity;
  • Report the matter to financial intelligence units and law enforcement;
  • Permanently close your account.

We are not required to explain our reasons in detail. Tipping off a user about an ongoing investigation could interfere with law enforcement, so we keep certain information confidential.

Your Responsibilities

By using Parimatch, you agree to the following:

  • All information you provide is accurate and up to date;
  • Funds you deposit come from legal sources and belong to you;
  • You will not use the platform for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal purpose;
  • You will cooperate with verification requests and provide documents when asked;
  • You will not open multiple accounts or let others use your account;
  • You will notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Breaking these rules can result in account closure, forfeiture of funds, and reports to authorities.

Data Sharing

Parimatch may share your information with financial institutions, regulators, and law enforcement agencies as required by law. We do not need your permission to do this when legal obligations apply.
By using the platform, you consent to this data sharing. We keep records of your account activity, transactions, and betting history for at least five years as required by anti-money laundering regulations.

High-Risk Customers

Some users face extra scrutiny due to their profile or location. This includes:

  • Politically exposed persons (PEPs) who hold or have held government positions;
  • Users from jurisdictions with weak anti-money laundering controls;
  • Customers whose transaction patterns suggest higher risk.

If you fall into one of these categories, expect more frequent verification requests and closer monitoring of your activity. This is not personal. It is required by international compliance standards.

Cooperation with Authorities

Parimatch works with regulators, financial intelligence units, and law enforcement in India and internationally. When we detect serious violations, we file reports and provide information as requested.
We also cooperate with sports governing bodies investigating match-fixing or betting-related corruption. If your account is linked to such investigations, we may share relevant data without notifying you first.

Policy Updates

This policy may change as regulations evolve or our procedures improve. Updated versions are published on this page. Continuing to use Parimatch after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.
